Mathew (2023) suggest that Employer branding and retention are crucial for organizations to attract and retain top talent, increase productivity, and attract customers, investors, and partners. A strong brand fosters employee passion, innovation, customer satisfaction, and brand loyalty. Retention is essential as losing top talent can be costly and negatively impact company culture and reputation.

To measure the success of employer branding, organizations should track key performance indicators (KPIs) that reflect their reputation, attractiveness, and employee satisfaction.

Employee brand awareness is one of the key performance indicators (KPIs) for measuring employee satisfaction. An employer brand is a crucial aspect of an organization's identity, encompassing its mission, values, culture, and personality. A positive brand enhances recruitment, retention, engagement, and overall market perception, making it a great place to work (Shrm.org, 2023).

Employer Branding is the new buzzword for marketers as well as in human resource management. Employer Branding is defined as “targeted, long-term strategy to manage the awareness and perceptions of employees, potential employees, and related stakeholders with regards to a particular firm. The strategy can be tuned to drive recruitment, retention, and productivity management efforts (ResearchGate, n.d.)

Performance indicators for the effectiveness of Employer Branding

The Kienbaum study shows that only 39% of companies have established performance measurements for their employer branding activities, indicating a lack of understanding of this long-term strategy for managing employee awareness and perceptions. (ResearchGate, n.d.)
